These paintings are part of an ongoing series of work based on photos of my brother and I growing up. Through this series I’m able to study and recreate old settings, revisit the texture of past environments. This project wouldn’t be possible without the beautiful photos from my aunt Ilene who photographed us during family trips to Florida. Many of these paintings are based off her photos.
