Emily Skydel is an artist working out of her private studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Emily uses art as a vehicle for connection with humanity and the natural world.
She grew up in the NYC suburbs, studied painting at Binghamton University, and went on to continue taking courses at the New York Studio School, Art Students League and Black Pond Studio. Her work has been featured on FX’s show Better Things, the National Sawdust Theater and in private collections.
When not making art, Emily works as an organizer fighting the expansion of AI data centers and cuddling up with her cat Tiger Lily.
